"Raw Foodist"

The title I'll be striving to become I've found is called Raw Foodist. Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhh. I don't really know why, but it's kind of a relief that I found that title.

I didn't realize that I hadn't posted for over a week. I'm sure it's partially because this past Wednesday I was again looking online to try to find the title I should use. Knowing I wanted to try to eat all raw I was looking for raw recipes. I know I need to find a replacement for bread and crackers. I'd heard of flax crackers and was looking at recipes on You Tube and found quite a few demonstrations on them. The third one I watched showed the name of the lady's website at the bottom. It said, greensmoothiegirl.com. I opened her home page in another tab, but continued watching her youtube video. Before she started the demonstration she started talking about the benefits of flax. The main one she mentioned was that it helps with Depression. I actually had to pause it because tears started to well up in my eyes. I don't know how else to explain it other than I am "A Sensitive". I use to be embarrassed when I would feel the "Holy Ghost" because I always cry. But now I know it's the way the Holy Ghost confirms to me that what I'm hearing is true. So what I'm saying is that I got that distinct feeling that the Holy Ghost was confirming to me that what this lady, Robyn, was telling me was true and that if I would follow what she said that I would receive the results I desire. I continued to watch the video and then found many, many more youtube videos done by Roby Openshaw and watched almost all of them. I spent almost all afternoon watching these videos.

One of the main reasons I want to eat an all raw diet is because I believe our Heavenly Father put fruits and vegetables on this earth that give us the nutrients we need to live a healthy disease free life. It is man who is causing disease through a non-nutritious diet.

Now obviously her main concept of diet is that she blends most of her veggies every day into a smoothie. This is kind of ironic since my very last post I said I might eventually try green smoothies, but didn't think it would be anytime soon. Oh I didn't tell you the best part yet. Robyn is an ACTIVE BLOGGER. I've looked at a lot of Vegan, Raw Vegan, etc. blogs and none of them were active. And here is the cherry on top of my fruit smoothie (no more sunday's kids sorry...tehehehe). SHE LIVES IN UTAH (which is where I live). She is about an hour and a half away, but totally doable. She holds classes at the local whole food stores, and is also holding a retreat this May.

On top of all of this I found out right before the deadline that she was holding a contest to find someone to do a makeover on (I'm assuming a health makeover). You had to submit a video on why you think you deserve this health makeover and she would give you free of charge her 12 steps to Whold Foods Compete Course and the BlendTec Total Blender. Oh my goodness!!! Do you know how long I have wanted one of these? Well ever since I'd heard of them about 2 1/2 years ago. Then the green smoothie girl would put you on the pilot of their TV/Internet Series, GreenSmoothieGirl Makeover. You would be able to have free private coaching from Robyn. Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I need the help so very much! So I actually made two videos even though they said only to make one. The first one was just to show the silly side of me. I called it The Un-Super Heroes and the GreenSmoothieGirl. I should have named it In Search of the GreenSmoothie Girl. Currently it's posted to my family blog. Thinking back I should have posted it here. I guess it was my depressive embarrassed self that wouldn't let myself post it here. I tell all here and I'm a little more conservative on my blog. Anyway pop over to my family blog http://www.bishopsbiz.blogspot.com/ to view both videos.

Anywho...I gotta go try to finish making the flax crackers so I can get rid of this darned depression. Toodles!

Way to go Sheila!!! You're an inspiration and I wish you the best. It's funny how a lot of the people I have read on that go Raw, or do green smoothies are doing it to lose weight. Which is definitely one of the perks. But then there's ppl like me, who are skinny but it doesn't mean a thing. Skinny doesn't mean they eat well, or even feel well. I try and eat raw, and drink green smoothies because of all the other health benefits, and it has helped my acid reflux tremedously! Also, one thing I figured out is the Vitamix blender company will give you a discount if you have health problems that it will benefit. And who doesn't?!? So that's how I was able to get mine. If you want more details just send me a message! :) And regardless of the discount, with your health and your family I think you can't get your hands on one fast enough!!! It's worth the cost! :) Great job!
